Week 2 – Topic 1: The Nature of Strategic Management

08:00 to 10:00am: as a usual for us to attend the strategic management lecture for every Tuesday at the same time and place for this semester. 

This week we started our learning session by topic one, it is about The Nature of Strategic Management. This chapter describe about the definitions of strategic management. The others meaning of Strategic management is strategic planning and strategic plan is a company’s game plan J what do you think?? Is it difficult?? After I sit on my chair for 1hour and a few minutes in this lecture, I got a lot of knowledge related to the Strategic Management.

As usual, definition is the first thing we have learned and next, she told us the stages of strategic management which are Strategy Formulation, Strategy Implementation and Strategy Evaluation. I also learned in this chapter is about key terms of strategic management…it’s not new terms; it is a quite familiar to us as economic students. There are many things I have learned from in this topic such as benefits of strategic management, pitfalls in strategic management and guidelines for effective strategic management, but I just mention a little bit.. (^_^)
